Lihula shooter: What happened is unforgivable

The shooter responsible for the death of two people and injury of three others in Lihula on Saturday night said in a statement on Wednesday that he regrets what happened.

The shooter, 32-year-old Mikk, said in a statement issued by his defense attorney that he expresses regret to the victims, to their and his own loved ones and to the people of Estonia. He said that there was no justification for his actions, and that what happened was unforgivable. He said that he was sorry.

Defense attorney Rünno Roosmaa met with his client for the first time on Wednesday.

On Saturday night, the 32-year-old male shot and killed a 40-year-old man and 61-year-old woman and injured another three, two of whom were small children, in Lääneranna Municipality, near the town of Lihula.
