Hungary sending company-sized military unit to Estonia

Hungary is sending a company-sized unit of its defense forces to Estonia in the first half of July to conduct training exercises over a period of three months.
The company-sized unit of the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 25th Infantry Brigade of the Hungarian defense forces, equipped with BTR armored personnel carriers, will arrive in Estonia in the first half of July, a press officer of the Estonian Defence Forces (EDF) told BNS.
The Hungarian personnel will be stationed at the Taara military campus in the southeastern regional capital of Võru and will stay there for three months, conducting interoperability training mainly with personnel of the EDF's 2nd Infantry Brigade.
The mission was an expression of the wish of the Visegrad countries (Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia) to help strengthen the alliance's eastern flank, the press officer added.
