Gallery: Estonian Santa Claus and Russian Grandfather Frost meet in Narva

Santa Claus and Grandfather Frost met in Narva on Wednesday. The two Christmas icons appeared in the city together for a short visit before moving on to Ivangorod on the other side of the river.
They handed out presents to kindergarten kids as well as patients of the pediatric ward of the Narva city hospital. They will move on to the Russian border town of Ivangorod across the river after 3:00 p.m.
The meetings have been a tradition since 1997.
The event is arranged by the Estonian Tax and Customs Board (MTA) and the North Western Customs Directorate (SZTU) of Russia's Federal Customs Service in cooperation with the Association of Estonian International Road Carriers (ERAA).
The idea is to help support cooperation between agencies and municipal authorities in facilitating and expediting border crossings.
