Saaremaa Parish honors Kuressaare Hospital medical chief
Saaremaa Parish presented Dr. Edward Laane with the highest recognition of Saare County - the Order of Saare County - for his work fighting the islands' outbreak of coronavirus.
Laane was awarded the decoration for his contribution to the organization of the hospital's work and for his caring attitude, professional and selfless work in resolving the pandemic crisis in Saare County.
He was acknowledged and thanked by the leaders and colleagues of Saaremaa and Muhu municipality governments and councils from the hospital.
The ceremony took place at Kuressaare Town Hall on Friday.
Märt Kõll, another member of the board of Kuressaare Hospital, was awarded the Order of the City of Kuressaare last month on the birthday of the city of Kuressaare.
