Reps not planning on being away from ministry for long

Minister of Education and Research Mailis Reps, who gave birth to her sixth child last Sunday, does not wish to spend much time away from her position.
"The minister and [Secretary General Tea Varrak] have agreed that there will be no changes in the ministry's work and that work will continue through the secretary general," the ministry told ERR.
"The minister has not currently taken leave; she wants to continue to remain engaged in the field and is currently assesing the situation on an ongoing basis," added Argo Kerb, director of the ministry' Communications Department.
Reps announced on Monday that she had given birth to a daughter, Charlotte, who was under heightened medical supervision, and requested that well-wishers and the media respectfully give the family space.
The Estonian minister is married to Latvian lawyer Agris Repšs, with whom she has six children: Richard (born 2004), Elizabeth (2006), Karl Robert (2007), Henry Roger (2011), Frederick (2014) and Charlotte (2017).
