Two Russian consuls expelled from Estonia

Narva Consul General Dmitry Kazennov and Consul Andrey Surgaev are to be expelled from Estonia.
The decision was confirmed to ERR by a spokesperson from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministry declined to comment, however, why the consuls are being expelled from the country.
The Estonian Internal Security Service (ISS) confirmed that they are aware of this.
The Russian Embassy in Tallinn has said that this was an unfriendly step and expelling their diplomats from the country will not go without a response, Russian news agency TASS reported.
"This [expulsion of two Russian diplomats from Estonia] is another unfriendly and unwarranted act, which will not go unanswered," the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Interfax on Friday.
In line with diplomatic practice, the country whose representatives are told to leave another country will answer on the same scale by expelling diplomats of the other party.
Spokespeople for the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declined to comment if and which Estonian diplomats in Russia have been ordered to leave the country.
