While bad weather at the origins of incoming flights are causing some delays in scheduled arrivals, Thursday's poor weather conditions in Estonia are not interfering with operations at Tallinn Airport.
According to airport spokesperson Priit Koff, everything is under control at Estonia's largest and busiest airport.
"We are functioning and operating," he said. "All systems are working." Any delays are being caused by issues at other airports.
"Snowplows are operating and the runway is being kept clean," Koff said. "It is not actually the snow that is concerning, but rather when the storm and snowfall become so heavy that visibility is limited — some minor circling by the aircraft may occur then."
A blizzard in Southern and Southwestern Finland has caused delays of an average of one hour at Helsinki Airport in Vantaa. Finnish airline Finnair has already canceled 12 flights.
