President names new ambassadors to Georgia and Norway

President Kersti Kaljulaid on Tuesday named Estonia's new ambassadors to Georgia and Norway
Riina Kaljurand will be the ambassador to Georgia and Lauri Bambus will be the new ambassador to Norway.
Kaljurand is currently working in the Foreign Ministry's Policy Planning Department and Bambus is the Director-General of the State Protocol Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Kaljulaid recalled the current ambassador in Georgia, Kai Kaarelsin, and the current ambassador in Norway, Janne Jõesaar-Ruusalu.
Additionally, Kaljulaid recalled the Estonian ambassador in Finland, Harri Tiido. Tiido, 66, was recalled on a personal request. As far as ERR is aware, he will not continue working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will retire.
Ambassadorial changes usually take place in August.
