Estonian military uniforms now available as skins in Minecraft
Private Villem Aas, conscript in the Cyber Command of the Estonian Defence Forces, has created a collection of Estonian military uniforms downloadable and usable as skins in the popular video game Minecraft.
Private Aas of the Cyber Command's Strategic Communications Center said designing the skins was a good way to create something interesting for young people while supplementing his skills in the software toolset Blender.
The skins available for download are used by the Land Forces, Navy, and Air Force, with options from mission uniforms to sports uniforms available. Different ranks for the uniform can also be chosen. Uniforms of the Young Eagles (Noored Kotkad) and Estonian Defense League Girls' Organization (Kodutütred) are also available, along with many others.
The uniforms usable in Minecraft can be downloaded here.
Minecraft remains one of the most popular video games in the world even 10 years after release. The sandbox creation game, owned by Microsoft, reached 200 million copies sold in May 2020. There are an estimated 10,000 players in Estonia.
