Europa League opponents for Kalju, Levadia and Paide drawn
On Monday, Estonian Premium League clubs Nõmme Kalju, FCI Levadia and Paide Linnameeskond found out the clubs they will face off against in the qualifying round of UEFA Europa League.
On Monday, the draw for the first qualifying round of UEFA Europa League was held, with the winners advancing to the second qualifying round.
Nõmme Kalju, who played against Scottish powerhouse Celtic Football Club last season, will face off agains Slovenian club NŠ Mura. The team from Murska Sobota has played just two seasons in the Slovenian top league and gained entry to the European competition by winning the domestic cup.
Levadia was drawn a match-up with the winner of Gibraltar club St Joseph's F.C. and Faroese B36 Torshavn, set to take place on August 20.
Paide will face Lithuanian FK Žalgiris, who reached the third round of qualifiers last year, when they had to admit defeat to Sevilla.
All ties will take place on 27 August, with extra time and a penalty shoot-out if required. Winners advance to the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round.
