VIDEO: Tallinn Serves Up World's Longest Sprat Sandwich
The opening event of Tallinn Day saw the completion of the world's longest sprat sandwich at the Town Hall Square and was served to the public.
The sandwich was made by cooks of nearly 20 restaurants and cafés of Tallinn and prepared in sections. The pieces were linked and the sandwich garnished on location at the heart of the Old Town, menu.err.ee reported today.
The sandwich measured 20 meters and took up ten tables.
The Estonian Maritime Museum opened a workshop on sprat spices and preparing sprats, with sprat dishes and souvenirs on sale.
The Fat Margaret Tower, part of the Maritime Museum, will also host the exhibition “Tallinn, the Sprat Capital” until September 28.
