The average apartment price per square meter in Tallinn rose 8.5 percent to €2,101.82 on year to August, the Land Board (Maa-amet) says, and by 5.7 percent on the previous month.
The median price per square meter rose by 9.6 percent, to €2,051.33 on year, and by 7.9 between July and August this year.
The number of transactions fell, however, from 669, totaling €76.7 million, in July, to 559 (€67.8 million) in August.
Apartment prices outside Tallinn
Outside Tallinn, the average price per square meter rose by 5.5 percent, to €918.34 on year to August, and by 1.3 percent between July and August.
Median price per square meter rose 2.8 percent to €713.90 on year to August, but fell 7.8 percent between July and August.
998 apartment transactions valuing €54.8 million were made outside the capital in August, down from 1,118 (€59.4 million) in July.
1,313 apartment transactions to a value of €66.6 million took place in August across Estonia.
