Estonian biathletes of the year are Regina Oja and Rene Zahkna
The Estonian Biathlon Federation acknowledged their best athletes of the 2019/2020 season. The awards for biathlete of the year went to Regina Oja and Rene Zahkna.
Although an event to close the Estonian biathlon season this year was cancelled, the Federation still recognized the best Estonian biathletes of the year.
While neither of the awardees achieved an individual podium finish this season, the pair took second place in the single mixed relay at the Biathlon World Championships in Pokljuka, Slovenia.
The awards will be handed to Oja and Zahkna in Otepää on September 5-6 at summer biathlon event.
