President to spend two weeks working in Pärnu next month

President Kersti Kalujaid will continue with her tradition of working outside of Tallinn for at least two weeks in a year. From September 15 -25, she will be working in the southwest Estonian town of Pärnu.
The practise brings with it the opportunity to acknowledge and meet local people and community leaders, as well as a change of scenery.
"A number of daily tasks and meetings involving the Head of State will definitely move from [the president's Tallinn residence] Kadriorg to Pärnu for these weeks, and some ceremonies will take place there, in which all residents will take part," the president's head of communications Taavi Linnamäe said.
The president will be staying at the Pärnu Beach Hotel.
As with previous years, the president's staff will mostly also be transferring to Pärnu.
Within the ten days, the Head of State plans to meet with local leaders, visit companies and local government, schools, civic associations, and state agencies.
Last year, the president based herself in southeastern Estonia, and in 2018 she spent time in the eastern city of Narva.
