Wednesday, February 24, Independence Day was celebrated across Estonia with a formal celebration taking place in Paide.
As COVID-19 infection rates continue to remain high, the traditional celebrations, such as the military parade and an evening presidential reception did not take place. Instead, President Kersti Kaljulaid headed to the Paide Theater and Concert Hall, where she held her annual speech. A concert also took place.
The president's speech in full is available here.
